FAMILY STYLE
A very popular style for modern interactive wedding meals where your guests are encouraged to talk to those people around them by sharing the dishes from the middle of the table.
‘Family-style’ describes the actual service rather than the food- There is an enormous variety of dishes we can serve in this way, from BBQ meat and European delicatessen boards and Sustainable seafood platters to homely pasta dishes, fried chicken baskets and dessert plates.
This style does not need a large amount of serving staff, so can help to keep overall costs down.
FOOD STATIONS
With multiple food stations you can create a festival feel to your dining experience, where your guests are encouraged to mingle as they visit the different stations to collect their choice of favorite bites. This can make up the main event in the style of the ‘standing dinner party’ (which are becoming very popular), or you could add some food stations to your evening reception, to ensure no-one goes hungry hours into dancing the night away after dinner…
Street food and snacks work well in this format- from Pie stations, Thai stations, burger and hotdog stands, nacho & burrito bars, fresh juice & fruit stands, Roast beef carving stations, curry corners, BBQ grills, crepe stands, donut walls, S’mores stalls… the possibilities are endless!
