Cooking for Keanu

We heard before most that Keanu Reeves was coming to Hong Kong to film his directorial debut, ’Man of Tai Chi’, a martial arts film co-starring Tiger Chen (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Matrix series)and Karen Mok  (Around the world in 80 days). Their filming schedule took them to London and Beijing before finishing off with 8 weeks shooting in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Personal Chef looked after the stars and key production people for the duration of their stay, providing 3 meals and 2 snacks every day to be delivered on location around HK.

We worked with a nutritionalist and Keanu’s own personal chef (in LA via skype) to ensure  all of his meals were a perfect fit for his dietery requirements and energy demands each day.

Since they spent long days shooting all over HK, they needed high energy food that was healthy and easy to eat on the go, and lots of snacks to keep blood sugar levels constant.

I can also give you a few tips if you’re planning on fighting and want to avoid bruises- eat lots of pineapple, or food high in Vitamin P (bioflavonoids): lemon, green peppers and broccoli.

We now offer  Healthy Meals, our range of healthy, low calorie, mostly organic dishes focussing on nutritional balance for the health conscious or people wanting to lose weight.
